Rob Rinne

Rob Rinne has extensive work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and material services.

Rob is currently the Director of Strategic Sourcing at Avelo Airlines since April 2023.

From August 2020 to April 2023, they were the VP Global Supply Chain at Draken International.

Prior to that, from August 2017 to August 2020, they worked as the Managing Director of Strategic Sourcing and Materials at CommutAir dba United Express. In this role, they directed the aircraft parts materials organization and was responsible for purchasing, component repair, AOG, material planning, stores, and logistics. Rob also provided aircraft parts support to hubs at ALB, EWR & IAD.

From August 2010 to August 2017, they worked at Allegiant Air as the Director of Technical Procurement and Contracts. Here, they managed airline technical contracts for various departments and successfully completed the MD80 interior modification project as the Project Director.

In addition, they have experience as a Glider Tow Pilot at Las Vegas Soaring Center from July 2010 to December 2015, as well as a Director of Material Services at Omni Air International (OAI) from March 2010 to August 2010.

Before that, from March 2008 to August 2009, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Tectura, specializing in process optimization, supply chain management, and sales & operations planning (S&OP). Rob played a major role in designing the S&OP process for a global aerospace composite materials manufacturer.

From May 2005 to March 2008, they served as the Director of Contracts and Purchasing at Eos Airlines, Inc, where they supported all airline contract negotiations and supply chain requirements.

Rob'searlier experience includes a temporary engagement at Moran Transportation from October 2004 to May 2005, developing new processes for a marine transportation company. Rob also worked at Atlas Air from January 2000 to September 2004 as the Director of Technical Purchasing and Material. In this role, they were responsible for all aircraft materials activities for two airlines, including planning, procurement, component repair, warehousing, and transportation. Rob successfully negotiated long-term contracts and achieved substantial cost savings.

Rob Rinne completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Drafting and Industrial Technology at the University of Central Missouri from 1973 to 1978. Following this, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Quantitative Analysis - Operations Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, from 1986 to 1989.
