Joe McGuinness

Joe McGuinness serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Avenew, Inc. since February 2022, where focus is placed on sustainable infrastructure and preventative road maintenance. Previous roles include Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation from January 2017 to February 2022, overseeing major projects, including the completion of Interstate 69, and Mayor of Franklin, Indiana from January 2012 to January 2017. Additionally, Joe operated Caring Transitions as an owner and worked as a Financial Advisor at Peters Franklin, LTD, where expertise in governmental financial planning was applied. Early career experience includes serving as a Probation Officer for Johnson County Government. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Franklin College and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University.
