Ferry Hendrikx

Ferry Hendrikx has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ferry started their career as a Volunteer Technical Specialist at Ubuntu EEE/EasyPeasy in 2008. Ferry then worked as an Infrastructure Architect on a contract basis for the Ministry of Education from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they joined Telecom New Zealand as an I&AM Consultant/Architect on a contract basis before moving on to ANZ as a Manager on a contract basis for a short period. Ferry also worked as a Release Manager/Technical Specialist on a contract basis for NZX. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Consultant at Solnet Solutions. In 2011, they founded Avenir | Technology where they currently serve as the Founder & CTO. Ferry has also held roles as a Release Manager on a contract basis at Asparona and as a Solution Architect on a contract basis at Telecom New Zealand. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Technology Solutions Manager at Trustpower.

Ferry Hendrikx completed a BSc (HONS) in Computer Science from Victoria University of Wellington. Subsequently, from 2010 to 2015, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Distributed Systems from the same institution.
