Avenue
Opal Andraka is a dedicated professional with a strong background in social work and program management. Currently serving as a Program Specialist at Avenue CDC since May 2021, Opal specializes in data management using Salesforce, strategic planning with logic models, and overseeing community grant projects from implementation to reporting. Previous experience includes working as an Intern on a significant grant project focused on COVID vaccination outreach, and as an Admissions Coordinator at Brighton Senior Living of Tomball, where Opal analyzed medical reports and managed insurance verifications. Earlier roles also included case management and support at UIC Division of Specialized Care for Children, handling a diverse caseload and conducting home visits. Opal holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island.
