Shana Warkentine

Shana Warkentine currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Wichita, Kansas, starting in August 2023. Previously, Warkentine held the position of Vice President for Student Affairs at McPherson College from July 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included planning, development, and assessment of student programs and services, as well as membership on the senior leadership team. Warkentine also served as Interim Vice President for Student Affairs at Saint Mary's College of Maryland from August 2020 to July 2021, overseeing direct reports and enforcing COVID-19 policies. Earlier experience includes Vice President for Student Affairs at Missouri Western State University from April 2013 to June 2020, managing operations for over 6,100 students, and Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs at Fort Hays State University from July 2006 to March 2013, directing a large student life cluster. Warkentine holds a Bachelor of Science in English/Journalism and a Master of Science in Counselor Education/Student Personnel from Emporia State University.
