Karen Thornton

Karen Thornton is a seasoned producer and event planner with extensive experience in creating and managing intergenerational connections and community engagement through storytelling and events. Currently serving as a Producer at Generation Women Seattle-Tacoma since January 2024, Karen previously founded Avenue 22 Events in January 2017, offering expertise in program design, project management, and event logistics. Additionally, Karen worked as a Consultant at Slalom Consulting from April 2013 to June 2018, where a focus on learning and development aimed to enhance organizational effectiveness. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Training Specialist from the University of Washington and a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism with a specialization in Natural Resource Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
