Joellen M. Short

Joellen M. Short has extensive work experience in the field of talent development and human resources. Joellen is currently the Vice President of Total Rewards at Avenue Living Asset Management, a position they started in June 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Director of Talent Development at Avenue Living from October 2020 to June 2022. Joellen also worked as a Talent Development Manager at Avenue Living Communities from August 2020 to June 2022 and briefly served as the Director of Talent Development for the same company in October 2020. Before joining Avenue Living, Joellen worked at Long View Systems as a Senior People Services Advisor from October 2011 to August 2020. Joellen began their career as a Human Resource Generalist Western Canada at Wolseley in May 2007 and held this position until October 2011. Joellen's professional experience also includes a role as a Document Control for Phase 2/3 at Canadian Natural Resources Limited from September 2005 to March 2006.

Joellen M. Short completed a Human Resource Management Certificate from the University of Calgary in 2008-2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Industrial Psychology from Acadia University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Psychology degree from Acadia University, although the specific dates of their study for this degree are unknown. In May 2012, Joellen M. Short obtained a certification as CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) from the Human Resources Institute of Alberta (HRIA).
