Mel Barks

Mel Barks is the Chief Performance Officer at Avenue5 Residential, a position they have held since September 2015. Prior to their current role, they served as Managing Director of Performance Analytics at Greystar from October 2014 to September 2015, and as Chief Performance Officer at Riverstone Residential Group from August 2007 to October 2014.

Barks began their career in January 2000 as Head of Department - Client Accounting at Chesterton International, a position they held for five years before being promoted to Head of International Projects in January 2005. Mel remained with the company for two years before joining Riverstone Residential Group as Chief Performance Officer in August 2007.

In their role as Chief Performance Officer, Barks is responsible for overseeing Avenue5 Residential’s performance analytics team and ensuring that the company’s property portfolio is performing optimally. Mel has a proven track record of successfully delivering results in accordance with contractual requirements and internal/external regulatory requirements.
