Liz Thomson

Liz Thomson has extensive experience in marketing and communications roles. Liz currently serves as the Head of Communications and Marketing at Avenues Group, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at RNIB in various positions, including Senior Marketing Manager, Marketing Business Partner, Marketing Manager for Specialist Services, Marketing and Promotions Manager for Education and Residential Services, and Marketing and Communications Manager for RNIB Pears Centre. Liz also gained experience as a Marketing Officer at RNIB, where they coordinated marketing activities and managed projects. Before joining RNIB, Liz worked as an Administrative Assistant at Birmingham City Council.

Liz Thomson's education history includes two significant periods of study. From 1997 to 2000, they attended the University of Leeds, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) degree in Sociology. A few years later, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued further education at CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing, where they completed a Professional Diploma in Marketing.

Additionally, Liz Thomson obtained a certification as a CIM Chartered Marketer MCIM Member from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in March 2021.
