Gretel Schwartzott

Gretel Schwartzott is a Design, Mastery & Engineering Educator at Avenues: The World School since August 2021, with extensive experience in academia as an Adjunct Lecturer at The City University of New York (CUNY LAGCC) from August 2017 to August 2021, focusing on industrial design and model making. Prior freelance roles include model making for Grimshaw Architects and Diller Scofido and Renfro, along with a significant tenure as Manager of the Model Shop at Beyer Blinder Belle, where responsibilities encompassed budget creation, project management, and staff supervision. Additional experience includes consulting for various design firms and teaching foundational design skills. Schwartzott holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Product Design from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY New Paltz.
