Chris Jessen

Chris Jessen began their work experience in 1991 as a Controller at Radio One Broadcasting. Chris then held various roles at Bankers Consulting Corporation, including Director of Finance and Controller. From 2000 to 2007, they worked at Sioux Nation Holdings, Inc. as the Director of Accounting & Finance and later as the Director of Operations & Management Services. Chris joined UnitedHealth Group in 2007 as the Corporate Controller for UnitedHealthcare Global. Since 2016, Jessen has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Avera Health Plans.

Chris Jessen received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics from Augustana University (SD) from 1986 to 1991. In addition to their degree, they also obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Nebraska State Board of Public Accountancy in February 1995 and the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in August 2012.
