Lisa Carlson

Lisa Carlson has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Lisa most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of Avera Health Plans starting in August 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Sanford Health Plan for nearly two decades, where they held the role of Senior Director of Planning & Regulation from August 2001 to July 2019. In 1998, Lisa began their career as an Executive Medical Assistant at Central Plains Clinic - Dept. of Occupational Medicine, where they were responsible for assisting with independent medical exams, reviewing patient charts, and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders in the healthcare industry.

Lisa Carlson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General at Creighton University from 1994 to 1998. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Health Services Administration degree at the University of Kansas - Graduate School of Business, specializing in Health Services Administration, from 1999 to 2001.
