Amy Evans is a dedicated registered nurse with extensive experience in critical care and various nursing specialties. Since June 2019, Amy has worked at Avera Queen of Peace Health Services in the ICU and has been with DaVita Kidney Care as a Charge Nurse, focusing on charge nursing services, anemia management, and serving as a preceptor. Previously, Amy served as a NICU Registered Nurse at Sanford Children's and a Critical Care Registered Nurse in multiple specialized areas at Sanford Health. Early career experiences include roles in community health and the operating room, alongside work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the University of South Dakota. Membership in both national and local AACN, as well as the South Dakota Nurse Association, reflects Amy's commitment to professional development in the nursing field.

Avera Queen of Peace consists of several medical facilities dedicated to providing comprehensive health care in Mitchell, South Dakota and surrounding nineteen-county area. We are the largest employer in Davison County due, in part, to the invitation of early Mitchell business leaders. Back around the turn of the 20th century they encouraged the Presentation Sisters to build a hospital to help take care of the community.
