Sanjay Awasthi

Dr. Sanjay Awasthi is an oncologist with over 35 years of experience and a biochemist focused on studying mechanisms of cellular stress, carcinogenesis, and drug resistance. Dr. Awasthi is the originator of the science behind the novel approach. Dr. Awasthi was the first to discover the protective functions of target protein against radiation and chemotherapy. Dr. Awasthi is the current Division Chief of Hematology and Oncology at the Texas Tech University Medical School.

He published over 200 peer-reviewed articles (cited >8,000 times). He received the 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award AACR and has 15 years of NIH R01 funding and 3 years of DoD funding.
