Jeffrey Chien

Jeffrey Chien has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jeffrey started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where they manufactured small fuel cells and tested anode materials for conductivity. Jeffrey then worked as a Laboratory Assistant, conducting experiments on ethanol production from yeast fermentation. Jeffrey later joined Schlumberger - Well Services - Cement as a Field Engineer, supervising cementing operations and ensuring the successful completion of client demands. Currently, they are employed at Avetta, where they started as a Software Engineer and progressed to Senior Manager and Director of Software Engineering. Avetta provides a cloud-based supply chain risk management and commercial marketplace platform.

Jeffrey Chien attended the University of Pennsylvania from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a BSE in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with minors in Energy & Sustainability and Economics. In 2015, they also attended CodingDojo, where they studied PHP, MEAN, and Ruby on Rails.
