Paula de Matos

Paula de Matos is an experienced User Research Lead and Principal Customer Experience Consultant at AVEVA since October 2020. Prior to this role, Paula served as a Consultant of UX for Life Sciences at Pistoia Alliance, Inc., managing a collaboration of over 35 UX specialists from December 2016 to March 2023. Paula also ran de Matos UX Consulting from March 2013 to March 2023, providing user experience consulting to various organizations, including MOO. In addition, Paula worked as an Independent UX Trainer for Akendi from November 2015 to July 2017, focusing on usability testing, research, and information architecture. Earlier career positions include Group Coordinator and User Experience Analyst at the European Bioinformatics Institute, as well as a position as a Broadcast Systems Engineer at dB Broadcast Ltd. Paula holds a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction with Ergonomics from UCL and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
