Muneeb Ahmed

Muneeb Ahmed has a diverse range of work experience in the trading and logistics industry. Muneeb started their career in 2012 with Vecna Technologies, where they worked as an Operations & Project Management intern. During their internship, Muneeb traveled to Kenya to implement solar-powered electronic medical record systems and worked closely with the CEO to achieve strategic goals.

In 2013, Muneeb had two internships. Muneeb worked as a Strategy & Business Development intern at Benzinga and as a Corporate Strategy intern at Doodle Home, a Quicken Loans Company.

In 2014, Muneeb joined Louis Dreyfus Commodities as a Soft Commodities Trader intern, specializing in the cotton market. Muneeb performed supply/demand analysis during their internship.

From 2014 to 2019, Muneeb worked at Cargill, where they held multiple roles. Muneeb started as a Petroleum Trader and developed proprietary relative value trading strategies. Muneeb then became a Quantitative Analyst, where they back-tested and optimized proprietary models to forecast real-time power prices. In their next role as a Freight Trader, Muneeb coordinated global trading strategies and negotiated charterparties and clauses. Finally, as a Freight Trading & Business Development professional, they led Americas business development efforts for the fleet while managing trading and commercial activities.

Since 2019, Muneeb has been working at Avfuel Corporation. Muneeb started as a Senior Trader, responsible for building up the global trading desk and managing an asset acquisition. Muneeb implemented risk management systems and physical arbitrage trading strategies, and managed storage assets and traded on major refined product pipelines. Recently, Muneeb has been serving as the Director of Trading & Logistics at Avfuel.
