Currently, Bert serves as a Logistic Advisor and Consultant at Avi Air and as a Business Lead and Coach for students at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences since February 2021. Bert has held significant roles in various capacities at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, including Cargo in Cabin Joint Project Lead and Director of Business Development. Previous positions include Area Operations Director for KLM Cargo in both the Americas and Asia, where Bert was responsible for operational integrity and service delivery across numerous markets. It is a continuous work in progress. Transporting cargo with care, so it reaches its destination in optimal condition is our priority. Your produce is never 'just cargo’. From the moment we receive it, and in every step of the way, we take care of it as if it’s our own. We have 300+ tons of cooled storage on the tarmac at Amsterdam airport. Fresh cargo is kept in the cool store as late as possible. Exposure to ambient temperature is therefore minimal, and so maximises shelf life. By understanding your world, and by being in close consultation with our suppliers, we aim to prepare for all eventualities. Being proactive and flexible is key.
