Hawaa Cumar

Hawaa Cumar has over 10 years of work experience in the bioprocessing and cell therapy fields. In 2010, they completed work experience at The University of Nottingham. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Cord Blood Bank Laboratory Scientist at Anthony Nolan, where they supported the delivery of cell and gene therapy services through processing and quality control testing of cellular material. From 2018 to 2022, Hawaa Cumar worked at eXmoor Pharma Concepts Ltd, where they held the roles of Senior Bioprocess Development Scientist (USP), Cell Therapy Team Leader, and Bioprocess Development Scientist (USP). In their roles, they led multiple 160L HEK293 suspension AAV material generation projects, oversaw the smooth running of the laboratory, and led feasibility studies focused on iPSC cell lines. Currently, they are a Process Development Senior Scientist at AviadoBio.

Hawaa Cumar completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Nottingham Trent University from 2014 to 2018. Hawaa then went on to pursue an MBI, Cell and Gene Therapy Bioprocessing and Manufacture at UCL.
