Katie Walsh is a Communications/Multimedia Specialist at AVIAN since December 2019, responsible for creating and editing video animations for the Acquisition Management System and managing the AMS Insights YouTube Channel. Prior to this role, Katie served as a Training Instructor, Master Instructor, and Faculty Developer at the Defense Information School from June 2011 to December 2019, where responsibilities included teaching the Instructor Training Course, developing lesson plans, and organizing professional development programs. Earlier experience includes roles as a Web Editor at Gannett Government Media Corp. from September 2007 to March 2011 and as a Copy Editor at The Washington Times from 2005 to 2007. Katie holds a Master of Education in Training and Development from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University.
