Alonso Obando

Alonso Obando has extensive experience in the aviation industry, serving as a Captain for Boeing 787 and Airbus 320 at Avianca since July 1993. Previous roles include Captain for B787-777 at Ethiopian Airlines from February 2018 to January 2022 and Flight Safety Officer at Avianca Airlines from 2004 to 2006. Alonso Obando holds a degree in Business Administration from EAN University, earned between 2004 and 2009, and has completed ESL programs at the University of Washington and the University of Maryland in 2001 and 1990, respectively. Additionally, Alonso Obando is a graduate of Aeroandes Flight Academy, where a Commercial Pilot degree was obtained in 1990.
