Janis Dzenis

Janis Dzenis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of communications and public relations. Janis is currently serving as the Director of Communications and Public Relations for WayAway since May 2022.

Before joining WayAway, Janis held various positions at Aviasales. Janis worked as the Head of Public Relations for Eastern Europe & Central Asia, starting from January 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Regional Communications Manager for the CIS and APAC regions from May 2015 to December 2019. Janis also worked as a Public Relations Manager from March 2013 to April 2015.

Janis also worked at Travelpayouts as the Director of Public Relations starting from January 2017.

Earlier in their career, they served at PRT Edelman Affiliate, where they held the position of Head of Digital Communications Unit from March 2011 to March 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Creative Director from June 2008 to March 2011.

Overall, Janis Dzenis has a strong background in communications and public relations, with experience in leadership roles across various companies in the travel industry.

Janis Dzenis completed their Bachelor's degree in Public Relations/Image Management from Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) from 2001 to 2006. In 2017 and 2018, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Public Relations/Image Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. During the same period, they also attended the University of Stirling, where they studied Strategic Public Relations & Communication Management. In addition to their formal education, in September 2016, Janis Dzenis earned a certification in Public Relations for Digital Media Specialization from Coursera Course Certificates.
