Steve Herman has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Steve began as the Manager of Planning and Programs at Midwest Airlines in 1995, where they developed a fleet retirement plan that saved $6 million in maintenance costs. Steve then moved on to AAR-Aircraft Sales and Leasing in 2005 as the Director of Technical Operations, managing a fleet of 35 aircraft and ensuring all maintenance requirements were met. In 2010, they worked as the Vice President of Technical at Jet Trading and Leasing, before joining Aviation Capital Group in 2011 as the Vice President of Technical for the Americas.

Steve Herman earned their Bachelor's degree in Business and Hospitality from the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 1981 to 1985. Steve then pursued an Associate degree in Aircraft Maintenance from Gateway Technical College from 1990 to 1992.
