Shanshan Xu

Shanshan Xu is a highly experienced technology professional currently serving as Principal Tech Lead Manager and Principal Engineer at Aviatrix since September 2017. In these roles, Shanshan has architected and led the design of the company’s Firewall Network Service, integrating firewall solutions within native cloud environments and supporting all major firewall and cloud vendors. Additionally, Shanshan has designed and developed Aviatrix Multi-cloud Network Segmentation to provide global policy-driven segmentation for multi-cloud networks. Prior to Aviatrix, Shanshan worked at Cisco Systems, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer from April 2007 to September 2017. Shanshan holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University (2001 - 2006) and a BS in Precision Instrument from Tsinghua University (1996 - 2000).
