Ahmad Mansoori has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and research. Ahmad currently holds the role of Sr. Process Engineer at Avicena Tech, starting in June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at SolAero Technologies Corp as a Principal Engineer in R&D from October 2020 to May 2023. Ahmad also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at North Carolina State University from July 2020 to September 2020, and at The University of New Mexico from August 2019 to June 2020.
Ahmad's earlier experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the UNM Center for High Technology Materials from June 2014 to July 2019. In this role, they conducted research primarily focused on photovoltaics and thermophotovoltaics, incorporating specifically engineered III-V materials. Their responsibilities included reducing threading dislocation density in GaSb epilayer using defect filter layers, epitaxial growth of photonic crystal surface emitting lasers, and designing and fabricating thermophotovoltaic cells.
Prior to their work at the UNM Center for High Technology Materials, Ahmad gained experience as a Research Assistant at Shahid Beheshti University from 2009 to 2011.
Ahmad Mansoori completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics at Shiraz University from 2004 to 2008. Ahmad then pursued a Master's degree in Photonics at Shahid Beheshti University from 2008 to 2011. Continuing their education, Ahmad obtained a Master's degree in Optical Science and Engineering from The University of New Mexico from 2012 to 2014. Ahmad further pursued their studies at the same institution and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Optical Science and Engineering from 2012 to 2019.
