Tatiana T. S. Mello

Tatiana T. S. Mello is an experienced scientist specializing in process development for viral vector production, currently serving as Associate Principal Scientist at Avid Bioservices since June 2022. Previously, Mello worked at Lonza as a Process Development Scientist, focusing on viral vector process characterization and technology transfer experiments. Mello has also held positions at Molecular Templates, where responsibilities included protein fermentation and GMP compliance, and Louisiana State University, where research involved optimizing bacterial fermentation for biopharmaceutical production. Additional experience includes a role as a Scientific Researcher at CNPq, focusing on biomechanical modeling, and project management at Caterpillar Inc., where cost reduction initiatives were successfully implemented. Mello holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and two Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Biology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
