Cassie Fennell

Manager, Clinical GMP Quality Assurance at Avid Radiopharmaceuticals

Cassie Fennell serves as the Associate Director of Commercial GMP Quality Assurance at Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, a division of Eli Lilly and Company, since September 2008. Cassie has held various roles within the company, including Senior Manager of IMP GMP Quality Assurance from 2017 to 2022, where oversight was provided for IMP contractors globally, and Manager of Technology Transfer and CMC Regulatory from 2012 to 2016, responsible for managing complex technology transfer projects involving the manufacturing and testing of radiopharmaceuticals. Prior to Avid, Cassie worked as a Laboratory Technician at EMSL Analytical, Inc, focusing on sample preparation and analysis. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs from Temple University, a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Thomas Edison State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Avid's pipeline of imaging compounds has the potential to dramatically alter the clinical course of challenging conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, Parkinson's disease and Diabetes Mellitus. This may be possible because our molecular imaging compounds may be able to detect the first stages of pathological change; allowing early treatment and management of people at risk - perhaps before before symptoms of disease can develop.
