CTO, VP, Product & Co-Founder at Avidbots

Pablo Molina is currently the CTO, VP, Product & Co-Founder at Avidbots. Prior to this, they worked as an Autonomous Navigation Engineer/ Electrical Designer at Neptec Design Group from May 2011 to August 2013. While at Neptec, Pablo was heavily involved in the design of drive units and power management systems for mobile rovers. Pablo also led the design and manufacturing of electrical systems for two engineering prototype mobile robots. In addition, Pablo researched and proposed solutions for several moon rover proposals to the Canadian Space Agency.

Before Neptec, Pablo worked as a Software Developer at the University of Waterloo Biomedical Imaging Lab from August 2009 to December 2009. At the Biomedical Imaging Lab, Pablo researched, planned and implemented a hardware-software solution to accelerate the real-time processing of high-quality Fourier domain Optical coherence tomography images. This solution achieved 100x improvements over normal CPU implementation by using a graphical processing Unit (GPU) with NVIDIA’s CUDA technology. Pablo also improved the image processing pipeline by removing unnecessary storing steps which reduced post processing time by 50%.

Pablo Molina has a BASc in Mechatronics Engineering with Physics Option from the University of Waterloo and a MASc in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University. Pablo also has a degree from Universidad de Cuenca.

They work with Fred Treacy - VP, Customer Care, Pete Beynon - CFO, and Jeff Schrantz - VP, Global Sales. Pablo Molina reports to Faizan Sheikh, CEO, Co Founder.
