Associate Scientist I at Avidity

Aaron Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Aaron started their career in 2010 as a Bander-in-Training at the Avian Research and Education Institute. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Student Aide at the Miami University Ecology Research Center and then later as a Student Aide at Miami University from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they became a Peony Grower at Boreal Peonies, where they assisted in maintaining a peony farm and conducting research projects. From 2015 to 2015, they worked as a Lab Instructor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, teaching lab sections for Introduction to Biology.

In 2017, Aaron joined Washington University in St. Louis as a Research Technician II, with responsibilities including managing the lab, performing DNA extractions and other lab techniques, and maintaining sample databases. Aaron then pursued a Graduate Student position at Miami University from 2014 to 2017.

In 2019, Aaron became an Associate Grower at Anderson Seed Co, where they worked on projects to modernize the business and establish regional hemp cooperatives. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Research and Development Manager at Cultivaris Hemp, leading research and development efforts.

Their most recent role was at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. In 2021, they started as a Senior Research Associate and later transitioned to the role of Associate Scientist I in 2023.

Aaron Anderson attended Shawnee High School from an unknown start year until 2010. Aaron then went on to Miami University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology, graduating in 2014. In 2012, Aaron also briefly attended the University of Newcastle. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biology at Miami University from 2014 to 2017.
