Aaron'swork involved investigating acute changes in the surface expression landscape of irradiated glioma stem cells, probing essentiality and radiosensitivity of genetic knockouts/knockdowns of radiation-induced pathways, and identifying invasive factors in brain tumors.
- Undergraduate Research Assistant at Tatiana Segura Lab, University of California, Los Angeles from May 2017 to August 2019. Aaron assessed therapeutic hydrogels and conducted mice behavioral studies to assess the functional efficacy of MAP hydrogels.

Aaron Yu pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their undergraduate studies at UCLA from 2015 to 2019. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Subsequently, they enrolled at UC San Diego, where they pursued a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from 2019 to 2021.
