Alissa Peters

Alissa Peters has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Alissa started their career at the Dartmouth Biomedical Engineering Center for Orthopaedics as a Student Research Intern, working under Professor John P. Collier at Thayer School of Engineering of Dartmouth College from March 2011 to May 2013.

In 2013, Alissa joined Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where they served as a Business Intelligence Analyst from August 2013 to February 2016. Alissa then became the Assistant Director of Corporate Communications/Investor Relations from December 2016 to April 2018. From February 2016 to December 2016, they held the position of Senior Manager Corporate Development.

Following their time at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Alissa joined Akcea Therapeutics in April 2018 as an Associate Director of Global Marketing. Alissa later transitioned to the role of a Rare Disease Specialist, West from August 2019 to June 2020.

Currently, Alissa is working at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. Alissa started as the Director of Patient Advocacy & Corporate Affairs in June 2020 and has since been promoted to the position of Senior Director in July 2022.

Throughout their career, Alissa Peters has gained valuable experience in various areas including patient advocacy, corporate affairs, global marketing, business intelligence analysis, and corporate communications.

Alissa Peters attended Dartmouth College from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. In 2011, they also studied at the Academy of Liberal & Beaux-Arts in Barcelona, Spain. During their time there, they focused on subjects such as Modern Spanish Film and Literature, International Monetary Economics, and City Planning/Architecture. It is unclear if they obtained a degree from the Academy of Liberal & Beaux-Arts.
