Hanna Brooks

Hanna Brooks has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Hanna is currently working as a Research Associate at Avidity Biosciences, Inc., starting in December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BioLegend as a Quality Control Associate II from May 2022 to November 2022, and as a Quality Control Associate I from November 2020 to May 2022.

In 2019, Hanna worked as a Research Assistant at the Weimbs Lab, where they collaborated with postdoctorates, graduate, and fellow undergraduate students to advance research in Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD). Hanna'sresponsibilities included executing western blots, H&E microscopy analysis, statistical data analysis, and data presentation.

In the same year, they also served as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara. During the summer research course, they participated in three different lab rotations and conducted research on "The Effect of PCAF-1 Knockout on C. Elegan Motor Neuron Reprogramming," exploring the impact of PCAF-1 knockout on the competency window in C. Elegans.

Additionally, Hanna has experience working as an Algebra/English Tutor from 2015 to 2018 and as a Biology Tutor at Saddleback College from August 2017 to May 2018. As a Biology Tutor, they provided one-on-one and group tutoring, utilizing the Socratic Method to enhance outcomes. Hanna also conducted independent research on "The inhibitory effect of coconut oil, monolaurin, and vancomycin on Staphylococcus aureus," presenting their findings at research conferences.

Hanna Brooks pursued their education in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Hanna attended Saddleback College from 2015 to 2018, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree during this time. Subsequently, they enrolled at UC Santa Barbara from 2018 to 2020, where they successfully earned their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
