Michael Cochran

Michael Cochran is a seasoned professional in the field of biomedical engineering, currently serving as the Director of Chemistry at Avidity Biosciences LLC since August 2015. In this role, Michael has focused on the development of novel antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates for the treatment of rare muscle disorders and has established analytical methods for assessing the purity and stability of these conjugates. Prior to this, Michael held the position of Postdoctoral Scientist at GSK from April 2013 to August 2015, where responsibilities included the development and characterization of conjugates for preclinical studies. Michael's academic background includes a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Additional experience includes developing ultrasound contrast agents and performing large-scale DNA extractions during internships.
