Sarah Hudson, PhD, PMP®

Sarah Hudson, PhD, PMP®, has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Currently, they serve as the Sr Director of Program and Alliance Management at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. Prior to this, they held the role of Director of Program Management at Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2018 to 2021.

From 2014 to 2018, Sarah worked as the Director of Project Management at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute. Before that, they were the Director of Project Management at Convoy Therapeutics from 2013 to 2014.

Sarah also has experience in Pfizer, where they worked as a Senior Project Manager from 2012 to 2013 and as a Principal Scientist in Chemistry from 2010 to 2012. Sarah also worked as a Contract Research Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in 2010.

Sarah'searlier experience includes being a Senior Scientist I in Medicinal Chemistry at Exelixis from 2009 to 2010, and a Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Neurocrine Biosciences from 2003 to 2009.

Throughout their career, Sarah has demonstrated strong project management skills and expertise in various capacities within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Sarah holds a PhD and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).

Sarah Hudson, PhD, PMP®, has a strong educational background with a focus on chemistry and science writing. Sarah obtained a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bristol. Before that, they earned a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from Nottingham Trent University. In order to enhance their skills in science writing, they obtained a certificate in Science Writing from UC San Diego. Additionally, they also obtained a certificate in Medicinal Chemistry from UC San Diego, further expanding their knowledge in their field. In 2017, they obtained their PMP certification from the Project Management Institute, showcasing their expertise in project management.
