Janne Toikka

Janne Toikka has a diverse work experience in various roles in the technology and design industry. Janne started their career as a Web Team Leader at Lapin Yliopisto in 2004. Janne then worked as a Creative Designer at Linal Oy, where they handled visual identity and product design.

In 2007, Janne joined Exidio Oy as a Lead Designer and Lead Client Architect. Janne was responsible for visual identity, product design, client interaction, and GUI development. Janne also had programming experience in .NET environment.

Janne later joined Codento Oy as a Senior Front-end Developer, working on projects like Suunto Oy's movescount application. Janne developed responsive web applications, implemented new designs, and used various technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.

In 2018, Janne became a Senior Software Developer, Component Architect, and Code Owner, UX Designer at Analyste. Janne initially worked as a consultant and then joined the company, contributing to projects using Angular, TypeScript, and SCSS.

Since 2015, Janne has been the CEO of Uido Oy. Janne has worked on various consulting projects with companies like Suunto, New York Times, Barona, and Analyste. Janne also has an insulation business through Pellavanet.

Currently, Janne is the Creative Lead in Tech at Avidly. Janne is responsible for leading the tech department and has been focusing on developing a new way to create websites and web applications. Janne has built a robust monorepo and has been working on building cutting-edge frameworks to bridge the gap between CMS and React UI library.

Janne Toikka holds a High School Diploma in Art (Graphic and Architecture) from Savonlinnan Taidelukio, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Janne later attended the University of Lapland from 1999 to 2007, earning a Master's degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia.
