Naman Gupta has a wealth of work experience in the engineering and robotics fields. Naman began their career in 2017, when they were a trainee at Bosch, where they received aftermarket automotive training on internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles. Naman then moved on to Essar Steel as a trainee, where they observed the working of the Cold Rolling Mill of steel coils and learned about the mechatronic components used in the industry. In 2018, they interned at India Robotics & Automation Pvt. Ltd., where they learned about the working and application of machine vision technology in industrial environments. In 2019, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where they worked on creating an autonomy module for self-driving capability on e-scooters. Naman also interned at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where they worked on a project involving the mechanical and electrical design and fabrication of a bipedal walking robot. In 2020, they returned to Digital Dream Labs as a Robotics Developer Intern. Finally, in 2021, they became a Project Lead at Digital Dream Labs, where they continued to develop firmware and embedded level software for the robot, implemented control algorithms to balance the humanoid robot, and used path planning algorithms to allow the robot to traverse the world by avoiding obstacles using perception. Naman also delegated tasks amongst team members and delivered the product to the client for feedback. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Avidyne.

Naman Gupta began their education in 2006 at Ryan International School. In 2015, they graduated with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechatronics Engineering from Manipal University Jaipur. Following this, they obtained certifications from e-Yantra, IIT Bombay; Inventrom Pvt. Ltd. - Bolt IoT; Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus; Groceryshop; Georgia Institute of Technology; University of Toronto; Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business; and LinkedIn. In 2019, they completed their Master of Engineering - MEng in Robotics from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering. Naman is currently pursuing a Groceryshop Retail Education Certificate, which is expected to be completed in October 2022.
