Mary Jane Pearson

Mary Jane Pearson is an accomplished education leader with extensive experience in online development, trauma support, and academic affairs. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Online Development & Support at Avila University, Pearson provides mentorship and strategic guidance for online faculty. As the Founder and Chief Academic Advisor of The Resilience Coalition, Pearson leads a collaborative effort to support resilience and wellness for communities affected by trauma. Previous roles include Chief Academic Officer/Advisor at HotChalk, Inc./Versidi, where Pearson developed a model of support for online faculty, and Managing Director at Chartwell Education Group, overseeing international education projects. Pearson's expertise is underscored by significant contributions to teacher credentialing, education policies, and recognition as California Teacher Educator of the Year. Pearson holds a Ph.D. in Special Education & Law from The University of Kansas.
