Gerard Langbroek

Gerard Langbroek is an experienced interoperability expert and senior software engineer, currently leading the FHIR-based Koppeltaal 2.0 implementation at Avinty since March 2023. Previously, Gerard worked at Philips from December 2017 to February 2023, where participation in a self-steering Agile/Scrum squad contributed to a patient-centric, standards-based interoperability platform, along with responsibilities within the XDS-suite following the acquisition of Forcare. Gerard's career began at Forcare B.V. from February 2013 to December 2017, focusing on connecting the Dutch LSP to an XDS-platform for Medication Information. Prior experience includes roles as a software architect and senior software designer at Ericsson from December 1994 to January 2013, overseeing the architecture of software components and designing functionalities for enterprise services. Gerard holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an Atheneum B diploma from Groen van Prinsterer Lyceum Vlaardingen.
