John Sandifer

John Sandifer has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several industries and roles. John started their career in 1988 serving in the US Army as a Specialist E4, where they established tactical line of site and fiber optics networks. Following their military service, they worked as a Cable Installer, installing television cables and converter boxes. John then transitioned into the manufacturing industry, working as a Production Technician for Hitachi Seiki USA, where they assembled CNC machine tool lathes and mills.

In 2000, Sandifer joined Mazak Corporation as a Field Service Engineer, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various CNC machine tools. John moved on to work as an Avionics Production Technician at ULA (United Launch Alliance), participating in the manufacturing of aerospace products such as wire harnesses. Sandifer then joined Honeywell Defense & Space as a Repair Technician, troubleshooting and repairing helicopter Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) equipment.

Sandifer continued their career at Honeywell as a Customer Support Engineer and trainer, providing technical support for the OH58D Kiowa and CH47D Chinook platforms. John received HUMS data from fielded Army units and evaluated the health of the aircraft. Afterward, they joined VT Group as an Analyst IV, where they received and analyzed aircraft HUMS data for the Armed Scout Helicopter Program Office. John used various systems to view data trends and identify top contributing HUMS conditions.

Most recently, Sandifer worked at Avion Solutions, Inc. as a Senior Analyst, supporting the Cargo PM Data Analysis Working Group for the Cargo Platform Health Environment data analysis. John collected data from Army aircraft and used fleet and unit health applications to verify recorded parameters and evaluate data adequacy.

Throughout their career, Sandifer has gained valuable experience in data analysis, technical support, troubleshooting, repair, and assembly, demonstrating their versatile skill set.

John Sandifer attended Calhoun Community College from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Electrical Technology.
