Richard Marks

Richard Marks has over 25 years of work experience in various roles related to finance and accounting. Richard currently serves as the Controller at Avion Solutions, Inc since March 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Advanced Optical Systems for over 10 years (from July 2006 to February 2017) as a Business Manager/Controller. During their tenure there, they were responsible for managing the business office personnel and overseeing various financial functions such as general ledger, job costing, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, human resources, and payroll. Richard also automated processes for efficiency and ensured compliance with tax and reporting requirements.

Before joining Advanced Optical Systems, Richard worked as a Senior Accountant at Triumph Motorcycles, USA from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they were employed at Nth Degree as an Assistant City Manager & Senior Accounting Manager. In this role, they managed work crews at convention centers, scheduled and supervised the monthly closing and publishing of financial statements, and managed the accounting staff responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll subsystems.

Richard Marks completed their education in a chronological order. From 1984 to 1986, they attended The Westminster School and received their high school degree. Richard then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1987 to 1990. Following this, they went on to Georgia State University, where they obtained another Bachelor's Degree, this time in Economics, between 1990 and 1992. Finally, Richard completed their formal education with a Master's Degree in Accounting from Kennesaw State University from 1992 to 1996.
