Roland Boerner began their work experience in 1990 at Hilton Berlin as a Service - Management Trainee - Banquet & Eventsales - Catering Manager. Roland then worked at Schlosshotel Teupitz as a Sales and Marketing Manager from 1993 to 1994. In 1995, they joined Hotel Hoppegarten Berlin as a Marketing & Sales Manager & Assistant Director until 1997. Roland then worked at Avis Budget Group, starting as an Airport Manager from 1997 to 2016. Roland then progressed to become the Head of Airports Germany North - East from 2017 to 2018, and currently holds the position of Head of Ancillary Sales and Service Delivery Central Europe, EMEA.

From 1988 to 1992, Roland Boerner attended Hotelfachschule Berlin and obtained a degree in Fachwirt with a focus on Geschäfts-/betriebliche Ökonomie (Business/Economic Management).
