Michael Downey

Michael Downey, SIOR, is a seasoned real estate professional currently serving as Principal and Vice President at Avison Young since June 2012, with a focus on the Pittsburgh CBD and suburban office markets. Downey specializes in identifying opportunities and representing clients in all facets of commercial real estate, including the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of office buildings. Prior to Avison Young, Downey worked as an Associate at Grubb & Ellis Company from September 2004 to June 2012, where the primary responsibilities included leasing and selling office and industrial properties. Downey holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Saint Vincent College, obtained in 2004, and is a graduate of Saint Ignatius High School.
