John Gibson

John Gibson has been working at Avista since 2008. John started as a Senior Efficiency Engineer from January 2008 to January 2010. From May 2012 to May 2013, they served as an SGIG Project Manager. John then became the Manager of Distribution System Operations from May 2013 to March 2017. Finally, since June 2017, they have held the position of Chief R&D Engineer and Chief Research and Development Engineer at Avista.

John Gibson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Gonzaga University, starting in 2006 and graduating in 2010. John then pursued a Masters in Engineering Management from Washington State University, attending from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained their first Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from Gonzaga University, from 1984 to 1987.
