Kelley Kearns, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Kelley started their career at Merck as a Senior Engineer from July 1999 to August 2004, during which they also pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Delaware. Kelley then took an educational leave of absence from September 2004 to July 2010 to complete their Ph.D. However, the leave was terminated due to restructuring related to the Schering-Plough merger.

Afterwards, Kelley joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Scientist I from November 2011 to February 2014. Kelley then moved to Dynavax Technologies, where they held several positions, including Process Engineer from April 2014 to February 2015, Manager of MS&T from March 2015 to August 2016, and Senior Scientist of MS&T from September 2016 to August 2017.

Currently, Kelley is working at Avitide, Inc. where they have held multiple roles. Kelley started as an Engineer in Purification Process Development from September 2017 to September 2019. Kelley then became a Principal Engineer from September 2019 to January 2021. Currently, they serve as the Director of Downstream Development, a position they have held since January 2021.

Kelley Kearns, Ph.D. began their education in 1995 at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 1999. Kelley then pursued a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering at Rutgers University from 2000 to 2002. Kelley later went on to complete their education at the University of Delaware, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from 2004 to 2012. In addition to their academic achievements, Kelley holds a certification as a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, which was obtained through the Pennsylvania Department of State.
