Amy West

Director, Student Programs & Multidisciplinary Assessment Team at Aviva

Amy has more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field and in working with children and families in the nonprofit sector.

Amy’s first position at Aviva was as a mental health therapist after which, she served as Lead Wraparound Services Therapist. Subsequently Amy held a Clinical Supervisor position before being promoted to Director in the Mental Health Services department in 2019. As Director, Amy oversees internships in Aviva’s Student Programs in collaboration with several universities in greater Los Angeles and leads Aviva’s Multidisciplinary Assessment Team to provide Comprehensive Needs Assessments for children newly detained from their families of origin.

Amy has earned certifications in several evidence-based practices and specializes in the provision of mental health services for infants and young children. She has served in the role of Birth-to-Five Lead, offering clinical case consultations, overseeing grant-funded services and supporting team development.

Amy holds both a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois, Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work.
