Derek Corbett

Derek Corbett is an experienced Project Manager with a specialization in Agile processes and a robust development background, accumulating over 14 years in the IT industry, particularly within Financial Services. Currently serving as the Head of Life Platforms at Aviva since January 2019, Derek has also held the roles of IT Manager, IT Project Manager, and Business Continuity Manager at Friends First since January 1999. Prior to these positions, Derek gained valuable experience as a Senior Developer at Eagle Star Life and Friends First, as well as an Analyst Programmer. Academic credentials include a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Griffith College Dublin and various computing certifications from the Limerick Institute of Technology.
