Sam Nixon

Sam Nixon is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product management and digital innovation across various industries. Currently serving as the Head of Propositions/Product for Direct Wealth at Aviva since March 2023, Sam previously contributed to Bloom & Wild as a Product Manager, focusing on data science and machine learning to enhance customer experiences. Prior roles include Product Director at Leadership Dynamics.io, where Sam facilitated business growth through leadership evaluation, and various strategic positions at the British Embassy in Beijing. Sam’s expertise in digital products was further honed at BlackRock as the Director and Head of Digital Product, leading cross-disciplinary teams and serving on global leadership committees. Additional experience includes senior roles at Santander UK and Royal Bank of Scotland, where innovative solutions such as the SmartBank app and GetCash were developed. Sam holds a Distinction in MSc. Human-Centred Computer Systems from the University of Sussex and a BSc. in Psychology from the University of Nottingham, along with a Diploma in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
