Scott Ellerthorpe is a highly experienced Principal Firmware Engineer with a strong background in developing innovative medical devices and technologies. Currently at Avive Solutions Inc., Scott is focused on designing a networked defibrillator for FDA Class III Medical Devices. Previous roles include significant contributions at Kinsa, Cala Health, and Element Science, where Scott improved illness detection, developed wearable neuro-stimulation devices, and created a wearable defibrillator to prevent Sudden Cardiac Death. With additional experience as a Senior Firmware Engineer at PerceptiMed and EMOTIV, and as Manager of Product Engineering at FLIR Motion Control Systems, Scott has extensive expertise in managing multi-functional teams and driving product development. Scott holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
