Amy Cowperthwait began their work experience in 2006 at the University of Delaware, where they served as an Associate Instructor and Co-Founder of Healthcare Theatre. Amy also acted as the Simulation Resource Center Coordinator, overseeing a special learning facility that allowed nursing students to enhance their skills through hands-on education in a risk-free environment. In 2015, Amy founded Avkin, a company focused on patient-centered simulation training and the development of wearable simulation technology.
