Thomas Siegl

Thomas Siegl is an experienced development engineer at AVL Software and Functions GmbH since September 2021, specializing in the design of electric machines, specifically permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) and an 800V dual inverter. Responsibilities include thermal and fluid dynamic simulations (CFD, AVL FireM), rotor strength calculations (FEM, Abaqus), and coordination of prototyping processes. Previous experience includes roles at Continental, Krones AG, bulthaup, Metallbau Siegl GmbH, and Application Technology GmbH & Co. KG, with a focus on manufacturing innovations, mobile robotics, and technical product design. Thomas holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from OTH Regensburg and has also studied at Victoria University.
